Transfer Rumour: Santiago Cordero on his way to the Premiership, but not to join Leicester

Leicester boss Matt O’Connor had revealed the Tigers held talks with the versatile back over a move to Welford Road.

However, with no deal complete, Rugby Inside Line has now reported that the Puma ace is heading for Sandy Park.

The 24-year-old, who has played 33 Tests and can play at full-back or on the wing, will allegedly sign a deal with the reigning Premiership champions to the end of the season.

Exeter, who will be without Jack Nowell during the Six Nations, see Cordero as a high-quality replacement.
