We run down the star performers, worst players and finally the England vs USA player ratings after Eddie Jones‘ men recorded a convincing win in their second Rugby World Cup match.
England ran out 45-7 winners with the USA team unable to make an impact on the scoreboard until the dying moments of the game.

George Ford, who captained the side against the USA, Billy Vunipola, and Luke Cowan-Dickie all crossed the try-line in the first half, while Ruairidh McConnochie and Lewis Ludlam added to England’s tally late on. Cokanasiga ran through for his second try of the match to complete the rout in the closing minutes.
A last-minute converted try from Bryce Campbell added made the final score respectable but this was as one-sided an affair as this World Cup is likely to witness.
BEST PLAYERS:
ENGLAND: Luke Cowan-Dickie – Accurate at lineout time, made more carries than anyone else (10) beating two defenders and ferocious in the collision. Also an absolute try machine.

USA: AJ MacGinty – Overall there wasn’t much positive for the Eagles in this one. However, their talented fly-half gave his everything, making more metres (37) than anyone else for his team while also making 14 tackles in defence. Workhorse.
UNDERPERFORMERS:
ENGLAND: Joe Launchbury – His feeble handling led to two unnecessary turnovers while in defence missed one wild tackle. Carried strongly throughout, although didn’t make that much ground, so his performance wasn’t disastrous, but it was beneath his typically high standards.
USA: Cameron Dolan – Experienced number eight Dolan failed to influence the game. Winning his 48th cap, his performance was lacklustre and his teammates won’t of been thanking him for his four wayward tackles. He wasn’t their worst player, we just anticipated much better
