RUMOUR | Gloucester close in on Saracens forward

Gloucester look set to win the race to sign Jack Singleton, according to an exclusive report from Gloucestershire Live.

The local publication has reported that Singleton, who has won three caps for England, is now close to agreeing a three-year deal with the Cherry and Whites.

The 23-year-old only returned to his boyhood club last summer from Worcester Warriors but his future has been in doubt since the salary cap scandal.

Singleton had been earmarked by Leicester, but is now set to join the Cherry & Whites with Tom Youngs having signed a new deal to stay at Welford Road.

Gloucester are also thought to be locked a battle with Sale to sign another Saracens and England forward, lock Nick Isiekwe.
