Sale Sharks have signed Wales and former Cardiff Blues second row Lou Reed
The 28-year-old won the last of his five Wales caps in 2013
Reed started his career at Scarlets and had been with the Blues for four years.
Sale Sharks have announced the signing of Welsh International Second Row Forward Lou Reed on a two-year contract.
Born in Treorchy, Reed started his career at the Celtic Warriors before joining Scarlets where he played over 100 games. He joined Cardiff in 2012 and has represented the Blues on 40 occasions including 17 games last season.
Reed will help cover the loss of Juandre Kruger, who pulled out of a move to the Sharks for family reasons.
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: ” Lou came highly recommended by Dwayne Peel. He is a big physical guy (6ft 6ins and 120kg) who will be a very abrasive addition to the squad.”
Reed added: ” After playing for Cardiff and Scarlets I am really looking forward to playing for Sale Sharks in the Premiership. I have been training all week and have been welcomed by everyone at the club.”
