Sale Sharks Tom Curry a ‘top target’ for Premiership rival

Leicester Tigers are playing the long game with their bid to sign England flanker Tom Curry when his contract at Sale Sharks expires in 2023.

According to RUCK sources, Steve Borthwick and his team are already putting in work to persuade the 23-year-old to move to Welford Road next summer

Curry became the youngest player to start an international for England in 90 years when he made his senior bow in Argentina on the 2017 summer tour.

With England, he won the Six Nations and the Autumn Nations Cup in 2020. In May 2021, he was selected to represent the British and Irish Lions on their tour of South Africa.

He also captained Eddie Jones side during the 2022 Six Nations.

DID YOU KNOW? Curry is the nephew of former England hooker John Olver

5 rugby transfers that are DEFINITELY still going to happen

There are still plenty of big rugby transfers to be done ahead of the 2022/23 season.

#1. Anthony Watson to Leicester Tigers

Leicester is rumoured to be the most likely destination for out of contract Bath, England and Lions winger for next season.

Rumours of his departure have subsided since it was revealed that current Munster coach Johann van Graan would be stepping into the head coach role, but there is still no certainty about his future, nor is there any shortage of clubs lining up to sign him.
