One of Scottish Rugby’s most capped and beloved players, Sean Lamont, is retiring from professional rugby at the end of the season.
He will bow out of the sport having achieved a great number of feats for Scotland, including lifting the Calcutta Cup, playing for Scotland 105 times and representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games (twice).
A petition was started on Monday to try and get him to resurrect his old look of blonde hair and orange gloves. The legendary winger replied to the call.
So if you want to see the return of the hair. This is what you have to do. Put your money where your mouth is. https://t.co/BEqJCc8Unt

We made our pledge of £15 and together with other rugby fans smashed Lamont’s target in double quick time.
£2,500 raised already. Well done you beautiful crazy people. https://t.co/BEqJCc8Unt

Ladies and gentlemen I am truly humbled by the response and by your generosity. It took only 10 hours to hit the target. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/6ZigcUc3nc
