Shocking footage of international rugby star hitting wife leaks online

Newly surfaced security camera footage reveals an incident involving France international prop Mohamed Haouas, where he appears to engage in a confrontation with his wife after witnessing her smoking.

The prop received a one-year prison sentence for the incident.

He was apprehended last Friday after physically assaulting his wife when he discovered her smoking, despite her previous claim of quitting.

This incident is likely to dash Haouas’ aspirations of being selected for the upcoming World Cup in September, which is set to be held in France.

However, Haouas plans to lodge an appeal, allowing him to remain free until the appeal process is concluded or potentially requiring him to wear an electronic monitoring device.

During the court proceedings, the 29-year-old admitted to striking his wife in a public setting and justified his actions by stating, “While she is entitled to smoke, the issue lies in her deception towards me. I reasoned that if she could lie about smoking, she might also lie about other matters.”

Notably, Haouas, who has represented France on 16 occasions, previously served a four-week suspension in March for headbutting Scotland’s Ben White during the Six Nations tournament.

The recently released World Rugby Rankings highlight the absurdity of the Pool Draw for the upcoming Rugby World Cup 2023, which was determined three years in advance and appears to be heavily skewed.

In response to criticism, World Rugby has announced that future pool draws for the Rugby World Cup will be conducted closer to the start of the tournament, as the current practice of relying on team rankings at the time of the draw is deemed unfair.

As a result, the guys over at Eggchasers Rugby put together their own drawer the 2023 tournament based on the current World Rugby rankings.
