Six Nations: All-time XV based on most appearances

Six Nations: All-time XV based on most appearances

Since the Six Nation’s inception in 2000, taking over from the Five Nations, many great players have graced the competition.

Ronan O’Gara has scored the most points (557) and Brian O’Dirscoll has scored the most tries (26).

England and France have won 10 of the 17 editions of the tournament – but no players from these two nations feature in the fifteen that have played the most games in the Six Nations.

Below is a starting XV of the players to have made the most appearances in the Six Nations since 2000.

15: Chris Paterson (Scotland – 53 appearances)

14: Mirco Bergamasco (Italy – 48)

13: Brian O’Driscoll (Ireland – 65)

12: Jamie Roberts (Wales – 41)

11: Sean Lamont (Scotland – 45)
