Head Coach Vern Cotter today named a 37-man Scotland squad for 2017 RBS Six Nations
This year's championship will be New Zealander Cotter's last in charge
Last year, Scotland finished fourth in the championship after wins against Italy and France
Scotland head coach Vern Cotter has named his squad for the forthcoming 2017 RBS Six Nations this morning.
This year's championship will be New Zealander Cotter's last in charge of the national side.
Cotter said: "It's a well-balanced and exciting group that have played a lot of rugby together, know each other well and are ambitious to do well in a Scotland jersey.
"I think if we get our mind-set right we can be competitive and push for wins in every game in this campaign.”
Gloucester centre Matt Scott, who missed out on selection in the autumn, returns to the fold.

Cotter has also named uncapped Edinburgh Rugby forwards Simon Berghan (prop) and Cornell Du Preez (back-row).
Du Preez (25) is a popular figure in the capital, scoring 14 tries in 71 appearances. He became eligible to represent Scotland last year after completing three years of residency in the country.
The Scots open their Six Nations campaign at home to Ireland on 4 February before facing France away eight days later.
Wales visit Murrayfield on 25 February and Cotter's side then take on defending champions England at Twickenham on 11 March, completing their tournament at home to Italy a week later.
Last year, Scotland finished fourth in the championship after wins against Italy and France.
