“So sad” – Danny Cipriani named England’s biggest waste of talent

Over the years, England has produced some incredibly talented rugby players, many of whom have gone on to become legends of the sport.

#5. Christian Wade

Christian Wade was another player who looked destined for greatness in his early career. He made his debut for Wasps in 2011 and quickly became one of the most exciting attacking players in the Premiership, with his speed and footwork causing havoc for opposing defences.

Despite being capped by England in 2013, Wade’s international career never really took off, and he eventually announced his retirement from rugby in 2018 to pursue a career in American football.

It was a surprise move, but one that perhaps highlighted the frustration he felt at not being able to fulfil his potential in rugby.
