“Specially crafted” – Peter O’Mahony wore special boots at the weekend with important message

Last weekend, Peter O’Mahony celebrated his 100th appearance for Ireland in a resounding 36-14 victory over Scotland at the Rugby World Cup.

Despite his penchant for avoiding the spotlight, O’Mahony found himself at the center of attention in the days leading up to the game, with all eyes fixed on the Munster star as he graced the field.

To mark this significant milestone, O’Mahony donned specially crafted boots bearing the embroidered number ‘100’ in their design. Adding a personal touch, the message ‘100 caps’ adorned his heels, alongside the initials of his nearest and dearest.

In Paris to support her husband, O’Mahony’s wife, Jessica, shared a poignant moment in an Instagram post on Sunday, recalling how Caroline, O’Mahony’s mother, had the privilege of presenting him with his jersey ahead of the Scotland clash.

Jessica conveyed her thoughts, writing, “A surreal weekend to see Pete get his 100th cap & for his Mum, Caroline, to present him with his jersey. As you’ve probably gathered by now, he would do anything for his team & teammates, so this milestone was so deserved.”
