Bristol Bears are delighted to confirm Mark Irish has been appointed Senior Forwards Coach ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The 41-year-old takes over from John Muldoon after excelling in his role as Scrum Coach since rejoining the club in 2022 from Worcester Warriors.
Director of Rugby Pat Lam said: “Following a thorough interview process, I’m delighted to appoint Mark Irish as the standout candidate. Iro is an excellent coach who is hugely respected within our group.
“He has made a significant impact on our team since his return. As well as his impressive work with our scrum, he has worked closely with John Muldoon on all aspects of forward play across the playing group.
“I believe he will be able to build on the good work of Mul and continue to take it forward.”
Irish said: “To have been successful through the interview process and to be offered the role of Bears Senior Forwards Coach is a huge honour and a challenge I am proud to take on.”
