STAYING: Harlequins lock signs new deal

Harlequins is thrilled to announce that Dino Lamb, a versatile forward who can play both lock and backrow positions, has extended his contract with the club.

Standing at 6ft 5in and weighing 119kg, Lamb has made over 70 appearances for the senior team since his debut in September 2017 against Northampton Saints.

He was also a member of the squad that secured a historic 40-38 win in the highest-scoring Gallagher Premiership final in 2021, helping Harlequins to win their second Premiership trophy.

Lamb said: “It’s fantastic to extend my time with Quins. I love playing for this Club. Ever since I joined the Academy at a young age all I’ve wanted is to play for Harlequins, and I feel fortunate to be able to do exactly that for a living.

“I feel like I’m continuing to develop here under the coaching of Jerry Flannery and Adam Jones and enjoy being part of a side that plays the exciting brand of rugby that is at the heart of this Club.

“It’s a great time to be a Harlequin and I’m delighted to continue to be part of this group.”

Head Coach Tabai Matson said: “Dino’s potential is immense and we are thrilled he’s recommitted to the Club.

“It’s always great to see a homegrown player go on to become a regular feature for the senior team and Dino’s athleticism is a real point of difference at the highest level of club rugby.

“He’s relatively young but has already played over 70 Games for Quins at lock. His ability to play in the loose gives him great versatility and more scope to grow his game.”
