“Talks set for Monday” – Christian Wade rips into Chris Ashton as he prepares for rugby comeback

Former England and Wasps speedster Christian Wade is set for talks with Racing 92, according to both Rugby Pass and The Rugby Paper.

Both news sources suggest the winger could sign for the club as a medical joker in place of fellow Englishman Regan Grace, who suffered a ruptured Achilles last month.

The Rugby Paper suggested this morning that ‘Racing are looking to see who is available’ after the St Helens star, who crossing codes to move to the French capital on a two-year deal, was ruled out until 2023.

Wade has been linked to a flurry of Premiership clubs after arriving back in the UK following his time in the NFL.

Speaking to The Rugby Paper, the 31-year-old also revealed this week that he believes he’d have smashed the Premiership record try-scoring if he had played in the same teams as record holder Chris Ashton.

“If I played in the teams Ashton played in, I would’ve had the number one record for most Premiership tries five, six years ago,” said Wade
