Team GB’s dream rugby sevens lineup for 2021 Olympics


We’ve picked our ultimate Team GB Sevens team that would definitely win gold at the 2021 Olympic games in Japan. 

The men’s rugby 7s teams will play across the first three days (25-27 July 2021) with the finals set for Wednesday, July 28 2021.

Ajinomoto Stadium (Tokyo Stadium) will host the sevens rugby games. The venue was also used during Rugby World Cup 2019 for eight games including the tournament opener and the Bronze Final. The capacity is near to 50,000.

TEAMS WHO HAVE QUALIFIED: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Fiji, Great Britain, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, South Africa, USA, Korea.

Stuart Hogg (Scotland): He is the Scotland captain and the man that makes them tick. When he’s not in the field, the Scots struggle to mix it with the big teams. Playmaker, motivator, kicker – he’d be our captain on this stage.


Louis Rees-Zammit (Wales): He burst on to the international scene a in 2020 and hasn’t looked back. His blend of composure and speed would be perfect for the sevens game.
