The Gallagher Premiership final WILL NOT be played at Twickenham

The Gallagher Premiership Final is set to be moved from Twickenham for the first time ever since the very first one back in 2001.

The RFU were unwilling to give Premier Rugby a discount on using the stadium, despite the fact that no fans would be able to attend the match, due to their own crippling financial losses.

According to the Mail Online, Wembley was also considered as a possible venue, but that option also proved to be too expensive.

As a result, clubs have chosen to hold next months showpiece event one of their own grounds as clubs continue viscously cut costs.

Ashton Gate is the early favourite to host the Premiership final

According to RUCK sources, the season showpiece will likely be held at Ashton Gate, if Bristol Bears don’t make the final.

The other two options being seriously considered is Wasps Ricoh Arena and Gloucester’s Kingsholm.
