Warren Gatland is the favourite to replace Eddie Jones as England head coach, according to reports.

The Daily Telegraph report that the New Zealander is favourite to replace Jones because of his record on the international stage and knowledge of English rugby.

The 55-year-old has won two Grand Slams with Wales since becoming their head coach in 2007.

However, the RFU insists no approach has been made to the current Wales head coach.

A spokeswoman told the Telegraph: “No conversations have been had with any possible succession candidates.”
