Thorley set to be dropped with uncapped star to be called up for England

Wasps speedster Paolo Odogwu will reportedly earn a shok England call-up for the 2021 Six Nations, according to the Mail Online.

There had been reports that he could be called up for Italy, but Chris Foy has reported that ‘England will act fast to secure the allegiance of this emerging sensation of the domestic game.’

Speaking about his international future, Odogwu said ‘I’m dual nationality, so I could play for Italy or England. It wasn’t something I’d thought of until it started getting blown up in the media this week! It’s just been a case of “let’s see what happens”.

Odogwu, who made the move from Sale Sharks, strengthened Wasps’ options on the flanks heading into the 2019/20 campaign.

His first outing in a Wasps jersey was at the 2019 Premiership 7s where he helped his side reach the final for the sixth successive time, contributing six tries and in the process becoming the competition’s top try-scorer of all time.

According to RUCK sources, the uncapped flier will replace Ollie Thorley, who has had a tough season with Gloucester so far.
