Exeter Chiefs are still in talks to retain the services of hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie.
That was according to Rob Baxter in the wake of a flurry of reports over the weekend suggested the 25-year-old was on the verge of a move to Leicester Tigers or Worcester Warriors after contract talks reached a stalemate.
“Talks are ongoing,” he told DevonLive. “No decision has been made – I can’t tell you he has signed or that he has not signed – but it is an ongoing situation.
“Where the clubs being named have come from, I don’t know. It is not something that I am aware of.
“All I am aware of is that, just like any other player who’s contract is coming up, you tend to talk for a couple of weeks and you tend to know where you stand. That is where we are with Luke.”
