The highly-popular Italian international arrived in Devon during the summer of 2015 from Guinness Pro 12 side Treviso.
He debuted for Treviso back in 2013 against Connacht, but arrived at the Chiefs already a seasoned international and having played at Sandy Park with his country during the Rugby World Cup of 2015.
Although injuries and international call-ups have somewhat stunted his progress at times, the 2016/17 season saw him really come of age, helping to club to not only reach the Anglo-Welsh Cup final, but also to lift the Premiership title for the first time having missed out 12 months earlier.
He missed the majority of the 2017/18 with a serious knee ligament injury.
