Transfer Rumours: A fourth club has entered the race to sign England flanker James Haskell

A team from the Guinness Pro14 has joined three Aviva Premiership clubs in taking a close look at England flanker James Haskell, who will seemingly not be offered a new deal to stay at Wasps.

It was initially thought that Haskell may return to the Top 14, where he played for Stade Francais previously, however following an England recall it’s thought the back-rower will want to stay in England.

However, a fourth club has entered the race, according to Rugby Inside Line, with Haskell reportedly talking to Glasgow Warriors about a potential move north of the border.

Meanwhile, The Rugby Paper has reported that Pat Lam is one of the main admirers as the Bristol head coach looks to build a squad capable of staying in the Premiership if, as expected, they achieve promotion.

Haskell had also attracted the interest of Gloucester earlier in the year and it’s not sure whether the Cherry and Whites remain interested in the England and Lions flanker.

The other Premiership club weighing up a potential move for Haskell is Northampton Saints, who despite having significant interest, may ultimately be put off by the high price.
