Transfer Rumours: Wasps line up Chiefs man as Willie Le Roux replacement

Exeter Chiefs Argentinian fullback/winger Santiago Cordero is being monitored by Gallagher Premiership rivals Wasps.

Wasps are looking for a replacement for the Christian Wade who has retired from rugby to pursue a career in American football while South African international Willie Le Roux is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

Cordero, 24, joined Exeter on a short term deal in January from Super Rugby side the Jaguares, before being handed a one year contract extension this summer.

If Cordero does make the move to the Ricoh Stadium he will likely be the second Chiefs player to make the switch with the Coventry-based club expected to announce the signing of centre Michele Campagnaro later this week after he is officially released from his Exeter contract on Wednesday.
