Transfers News: Taulupe Faletau puts an end to speculation

Wales and Lions star Taulupe Faletau is now set to stay at Bath after signing a new two-year deal with the club, according to RUCK sources.

The 76-times capped Welsh forward, who had been linked with a move to France or a return to Wales, has accepted a 25% pay-cut to remain with the black, blue and whites.

One of the most exciting back row players in the world game, the 29-year-old starred for Wales throughout their impressive 2015 Rugby World campaign and narrowly missed the 2019 Rugby World Cup due to injury.

He also toured Australia and New Zealand with the British & Irish Lions in 2013 and 2017, playing in the series clinching final Test in Sydney and all three tests against the All Blacks.

EDITORS PICKS:

Faletau is an outstanding ball-carrier who consistently beats the first line of defence with his quick feet and dominance with ball in hand.

Did you know? He became the first Pacific Islander to play for Wales in 2011 against the Barbarians.
