Two promising England stars sign with Bath Rugby

Two exciting, young English talents have joined Bath Rugby, with Max Green and Max Wright moving south from Yorkshire Carnegie.

An intelligent, dynamic scrum-half, Green, 21, broke into the starting line-up for Carnegie in the 2015-16 season, earning a regular starting spot the following year.

He then went on to cement his place in the England U20s squad for the 2016 Junior World Championship in Manchester, where he teamed up with future Bath teammates Jack Walker, Zach Mercer and Darren Atkins.

Agile centre Wright, 20, also gained recognition in the 2016-17 season and quickly showed his promise, with two tries in 12 appearances for the Championship side.

He replicated that form for the England U20s, joining the squad who went on to take the title in 2016. Wright was also part of the U20s squad who won the Grand Slam in 2017, alongside Mercer and Josh Bayliss, and represented his country this summer in Georgia.
