Argentina winger Julian Dominguez pulled off an outrageous piece of skill this past weekend, as he shone for the Chicago Hounds in Major League Rugby.
Channelling his inner Lionel Messi, Dominguez judged the bounce of the rugby ball to perfection, and flicked the ball with the outside of his boot high into the air. This excellent piece of skills prevented his side conceding a 50-22 deep in their own half.
The clip of Dominguez has gone viral on social media, which happened in an MLR Group Stage match against the Utah Warriors. The Hounds came away victorious in that match, as they triumphed 26-24 over the match-fancied favourites.
“Nearly a 50-22… and Dominguez! Busts out the soccer skills to keep that in. Oh my, what a play, otherwise that’s a 50-22 at the five metre line for Utah.” The accompanying commentary does the piece of skill justice, as the Hounds were able to clear their lines for safety.
