Sale Sharks has pulled off a transfer coup by securing the services of Welsh tighthead prop WillGriff John on a short-term agreement.

The 31-year-old, who boasts two caps for Wales, was officially added to Sale’s roster earlier this week, just in time for their upcoming Challenge Cup clash against the Ospreys this Saturday.

John’s association with Sale dates back to 2017 when he initially joined from Doncaster, where he notched up an impressive 82 appearances over four seasons.

Following his stint with Sale, John moved on to the Scarlets, where he spent two seasons, earning 19 appearances and representing Wales twice before a brief stint with Racing 92 in France. Now, he’s back on English soil, poised to make an impact once again in Premiership rugby.
