TRANSFER RUMOUR: Wallabies star Tevita Kuridrani set for Premiership stint

Following Steve Diamond’s comments that Sale Sharks are in the market for a world-class lock and centre, it’s been reported that Wallabies centre Tevita Kuridrani could join the club as three-month injury cover.

“With Josh being injured, we’re in the market for a world-class lock and we’re out for a world-class centre with Addison and Leota out,” Diamond said.

Kuridrani, who would be linking up with ex-teammate James O’Connor once again,  would link up with Diamond’s men after the upcoming Autumn Internationals.

The centre is currently six caps below the minimum threshold of 60 caps set by Australia to continue playing international rugby if you move overseas.

He will, therefore, after his stint at the AJ Bell return to the Brumbies, which will give him the opportunity to go above that cap mark.

There is then talk that he may then sign a three-year contract with Sale worth £500,000 per season after the 2018 Rugby Championship.
