Wasps player cited for allegedly biting player

A Wasps Ladies player has been cited for allegedly biting Gloucester-Hartpury outside-half Ceri Large.

The flanker is accused of the bite in the second-half Hartpurty’s 26-22 win over Wasps.

Liz Crake has been cited by independent citing commissioner Tony Lanaway and is to appear before an RFU Disciplinary panel charged with acts contrary to good sportsmanship, contrary to law 10.4(m) (biting).

During the match between Gloucester-Hartpury Women’s and Wasps Ladies on September 23, 2017, Crake allegedly bit Ceri Large of Gloucester-Hartpury Women’s RFC on the arm.

The hearing will take place in London on Wednesday, October 4 at 6.30pm. The panel will be chaired by Dr Julian Morris alongside Mike Tutty and Becky Essex.
