Wasps trio sign new deals

  • Three players have put pen to paper to extend their stay with Wasps
  • Kearnan Myall, Dan Robson and Thomas Young have all re-signed with the club
  • Robson has recently been named in England’s EPS squad
Wasps have announced that second-row Kearnan Myall, scrum-half Dan Robson and flanker Thomas Young have all signed new deals with the club.

Robson, who is in his second season with Wasps, has recently been named in England’s Elite Player Squad. He has already made 31 appearances in black and gold and has scored six tries and made six assists in his last seven Premiership games for Wasps.

Speaking about the contract extension, Robson said: “It was a really easy decision to re-sign.

“I’m loving my time here at Wasps and appreciate the confidence Dai [Young] has shown in me. I’m really enjoying the attacking brand of rugby we play and I feel my game has improved massively since I’ve been at Wasps.”

Wasps’ director rugby Dai Young added: “I’m really pleased that three more players have shown their commitment to Wasps and their belief in the potential of this squad. Dan, Kearnan and Thomas are talented players who also have a very strong work ethic.

“They’ve made a significant impact in the squad’s progression over the past couple of seasons and the exciting thing is, they still have a lot of potential to fulfil.

“I’ve always said that retaining quality players is just as important as being able to recruit quality players and we are now in a position where we can really start to build continuity and consistency within our squad.

“We have a strong backbone of players who have been with the club through thick and thin and that core group is growing in experience and stature, which is good foundation to build on moving forwards.”
