Students from UMRio and St Alban’s School (Hertfordshire – UK) met up for a carnival of rugby on Icaraí Beach, following months of pen pal, two legs of the UMRio 24 Hour touch circuit.

UMRio is a rugby for development programme based in the State of Rio de Janeiro

UMRio has worked over the past 3 years to provide young people in communities affected by crime and violence with a safe space and enabling environment where they can access and forge new opportunities, develop and pursue aspirations, and build confidence in their own identities.
