Shocking scenes broke out during a Major League Rugby match this past weekend, as two opposition coaches had to be separated after an aggressive confrontation. Houston Sabercats Head Coach Pote Human and Rugby New York Head of High Performance Ollie Richardson were pulled apart by players and match officials during the match.
It is not clear as to what started the confrontation, but it was the Sabercats Head Coach who looked to have struck first. Pote Human charged onto the pitch at Mount Vernon Memorial Field, and was stopped in his tracks by the New York Coach.
After a shouting match ensued, Pote threw the initial slap, with Richardson then running over to Human to retaliate. He took a wild swing at the South African, before the chaos finally calmed down. Richardson was sent to his dug-out, and Human to the sin bin, as the referee issued the 63-year-old with a yellow card.
