Do you remember this quirky video promoting the Newcastle Falcons? It was filmed in the Fenwick store in the city centre in 2008 and went viral.
The clip features Adam Balding, who had been newly signed by the rugby team at the time and was about to make his season debut.
In it, we see ‘sale’ signs around the store and shoppers browsing in the area before Balding suddenly tackles a mannequin to the ground.
The mannequin’s head then rolls away as a staff member looks on.
The team’s first game that season was of course against the Greater Manchester team Sale and the video was part of an attention-grabbing campaign to promote the squad.
