Former England U20 Mat Protheroe has fired back at Sale Sharks after the Premiership club publicly accused him of simulation on Sunday afternoon.
Sale have since deleted the tweet following a backlash. You can watch the incident yourself below to make your own mind up.
Protheroe was the standout performer for the Ospreys ranks as the Welsh side went down 21-13 in the Champions Cup at the Liberty Stadium.
Tries from Rohan Janse van Rensburg, Ewan Ashman and Jean-Luc du Preez gave Sale a 21-3 half-time lead.
Ospreys responded with a Luke Morgan try as Lood de Jager and Ben Curry were shown yellow cards.
Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson said: “He is just carrying a bit of an old man’s back!
“We’ve managed him these last couple of weeks, and he was really fresh and sharp this week, so I am sure it is just a case of managing it through the week.
“If he needs a bit of time off, we’ll give him a bit of time off ahead of the Six Nations.”

#5. Stuart Hogg
What they said: “He often overdoes the theatricality to the extent that not even the officials will give him a second look.
“Look back to the South Africa vs Scotland game a couple years back when he flung himself into the ‘Beast’ just to be laughed off by players and fans around him.”
Our verdict: Nobody will forget that infamous telling off he got from Nigel Owens against South Africa during the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
As the old saying goes, mud sticks., but it’s not a reputation he deserves.
