What happened to the last four England head coaches?

Martin Johnson (2008-2011)

He resigned on 16 November 2011 following England’s poor performance on and off the field at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Johnson’s love of rugby has followed him through into the next stage of his career as he is now a part of the BBC commentary team.

Joining the punditry team right before the Six Nations tournament, Johnson was excited to relive some of his best memories alongside Welsh rugby legend Sam Warburton.

The 50-year-old did make a return to coaching recently, taking a session with Loughborough Lightning’s senior squad on a recent campus visit.
