Here are the four players identified as exciting prospects for the home nations in an edition of Rugby World magazine.
IRELAND – Dominic Ryan
What they said then: “The flanker, who has made 20 appearances for Ireland U20, looks like a world-class player in the making. The future is bright for Ireland.”
What they’ve done since: Ryan, who’d win just one cap for Ireland announced his retirement in September 2018 due to concussion. After spending most of his career with Leinster, the forward hung up his boots at Leicester Tigers after one year at Welford Road. Disappointing.
