“Who the f*** do you think you are?” – Dan Biggar forced to apologise to teammate

Wales fly-half Dan Biggar vented his anger at Scotland scrum-half Ben White saying “who the f**k do you think you are?”

However, Biggar’s frustration took a negative turn when he reprimanded Wales wing Rio Dyer after a poorly executed pass was thrown in Dyer’s direction.

Welsh supporters have almost universally criticised his reaction to the 23-year-old’s pass.

One fan wrote: “Dan Biggar should publicly apologise to Rio Dyer for that tantrum in the first half,”

Another commented: “What I didn’t like today was Dan Biggar berating Rio Dyer for the quality of the pass he received. On live tv, in front of a packed stadium, there’s a time & a place for that, & that wasn’t it. Hope Gats has a word with him.”

A third commented: “Dan Biggar absolutely ripping into Rio Dyer was terrible. Awful behaviour.”

“I thought that looked like Biggar’s fault. Poor Rio Dyer getting an earful for nothing.” wrote a fourth.

A fifth added: “Rio Dyer should have run up to Biggar and give him a bollocking for missing that penalty.”

“Unforgivable of Dan Biggar to lambast Rio Dyer like that, given his youth and how much we need players brimming with confidence. Have a quiet word in his ear by all means, but not openly like that.” commented another.

Another said: “time for dan bigger to hang the boots up for international rugby not creating a thing and for someone with over 100 caps he should be helping rio dyer not shouting at him.”

“Pantomime villain” – Every home nations most hated player by rival fans in the Six Nations

We all have those rugby players that just we dislike for whatever reason.

It’s hard to forget those specific moments in matches that had us raging. An injury to your star player? Moaning to the referee?

World class rugby players don’t take losing well, but some take it worse than others.

But who are the players that rugby fans just love to hate, and why?

#1. Owen Farrell (England)

Could it be anybody else to start? Farrell fits the label “our guy” better than most, meaning you love to hate him unless he’s in your squad. Then you’d go to the end’s of the earth to defend him.

The England captain, also known as ‘Shoulder boy’ for his high tackling, does himself no favours with his poor tackling technique.

Although he’s currently serving a two-match ban, the fact he often seems to get away with it doesn’t help either.

Owen Farrell facts:

The Saracens star went to school with England teammate George Ford

His education began in rugby league – he joined Wigan St Patricks at the age of eight

He became the youngest ever player to appear in English professional rugby, making his debut aged 17 and 11 days. This record was later beaten by schoolmate Ford

It’s well known that Owen is the son of Ireland head coach Andy Farrell. However, it’s less commonly know that his uncle Sean O’Loughlin is also a rugby league legend, winning 34 caps for Great Britain between 1993 and 2009

He was not at first registered as a Farrell, but took mum Colleen’s family name of O’Loughlin. The couple married in 1995, changing Owen’s surname to Farrell the following year.
