After the conclusion of the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Eurosport compiled a list of the worst XV players who participated in the tournament.
The tournament is widely regarded as a low point for the English team due to several off-field controversies that cast a shadow over their performance.
As a result, five English players were included in the list.
#1. Mike Tindall
Eurosport wrote: “The England captain’s (pictured, above right) antics in an Auckland bar – which involved a mystery blonde who may or may not have been a former squeeze kissing his forehead – overshadowed the entire group stage for England.
“His on-pitch displays were equally lacklustre, and all the signs suggest that he will now retire disgracefully from rugby to a lifetime of negotiating a rocky royal marriage.”
