Gallagher, the insurance broker that is well know as the title sponsor of PREM Rugby, has confirmed a three-year partnership with Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR). The company becomes an Official Insurance Partner until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Building on its eight-year relationship with Premiership Rugby, alongside existing partnerships with the Women’s Rugby World Cup and New Zealand Rugby, including the Black Ferns, Gallagher is further extending its commitment to empowering the next generation of rugby talent.
The collaboration aims to support the continued growth of women’s rugby, both on and off the pitch, through leadership, coaching, and community development opportunities that mirror Gallagher’s values of integrity, passion, respect, and teamwork.
As women’s rugby continues to surge following a record-breaking World Cup, Gallagher’s partnership with PWR will provide a platform to create pathways for women and girls in the sport. Initiatives already in place include the High Performance Academy, a global development programme run in partnership with World Rugby to increase female representation in high-performance coaching and leadership roles.
Earlier this year, Gallagher also launched the Gallagher Touchline Academy, a free programme in collaboration with Premiership Rugby clubs, aiming to upskill 2,000 teachers by 2028 and nurture the next generation of rugby players.
England’s most capped player and former Loughborough Lightning star, Sarah Hunter, who also serves as a Gallagher Ambassador, said:
“It’s brilliant for women’s rugby to welcome Gallagher as a Principal Partner of PWR. The firm’s support couldn’t come at a more exciting time as the game goes from strength to strength following the success of the Red Roses this summer. Evidenced by its partnership portfolio, Gallagher truly wants to be part of the journey and shares a common passion for empowering women and girls in rugby on and off the pitch. By partnering with PWR, Gallagher can keep inspiring the next generation to dream big and believe that anything is possible.”
With this multi-year deal, Gallagher will continue to champion the development of the women’s game, creating lasting impact both at elite and grassroots levels.
