Lydia Thompson scored a hat-trick as England women put Wales to the sword as they ran in eleven tries in a 63-0 bonus-point victory at Cardiff’s Arms Park.


Tries from Amy Wilson HardyAmy Cokayne, Natasha Hunter and Lydia Thompson secured the bonus-point with only 23 minutes gone.


Katy McLean and captain Sarah Hunter also went over before the break to give the visitors a dominant 38-0 lead at the break.

After the restart, England continued to show their dominance with Thompson grabbing her second before fullback Danielle Waterman ran in a quickfire brace to open up a 53-0 advantage.


Winger Wilson hardy then grabbed her second on the hour before Worcester winger Thomspon completed her hat-trick with 66 minutes gone, 0-63.

Centre Emily Scarratt completed the visitors tally with her four conversions.
