“50,000 Tickets Sold And Counting” Red Roses Prepare for Record Breaking Attendance for Women’s Match

England’s Red Roses are taking on France in the final match of the 2023 TikTok Women’s Six Nations, with a record amount of tickets already sold for ‘Le Crunch’ at Twickenham Stadium. England announced how 50,000 tickets have already been sold for the match, which is taking place on Saturday 29th April.

The current attendance record for an international Women’s rugby match stands at 42,579 fans, once again with the Red Roses at the heart of the action. Last years Rugby World Cup Final saw a capacity crowd pack themselves into Eden Park, to watch the Black Ferns of New Zealand beat England in a dramatic 34-31 victory.

England and France are set to blow the current record for a Women’s Six Nations match out the water, as the expected Twickenham crowd doubles the current record set in the competition. The record has stood since 2018, when a healthy crowd of 17,440 watched on in the penultimate round of that year’s Women’s Six Nations. That match saw France secure a narrow 18-17 victory over England, on their way through to winning that year’s Grand Slam.

That current standing Women’s Six Nations record is set to be smashed to smithereens, and the all-time record eclipsed as anticipation builds for the showdown at ‘HQ’. This staggering feat represents the positive growth of women’s rugby, helped in no end from England reaching the final of last year’s Rugby World Cup.

The stakes couldn’t be higher, as both England and France are currently on track for the Grand Slam decider at Twickenham. England have one last obstacle in Ireland, whilst France play hosts to Wales in this weekend’s round of action. The Red Roses are aiming to retain the Six Nations title for a fifth consecutive year, with France giving chase for their first Championship since the aforementioned 2018 triumph.

Make sure to grab your tickets for this monumental history-making event, as the Red Roses and Les Bleus are set to rock Twickenham at the end of April.
