Although Alun Wyn Jones called on World Rugby to investigate immediately after the game, an All Black has said the Wales captain should have defended Joe Marler.
The England prop will go up in front of disciplinary chiefs in Dublin on Thursday and faces a minimum 12-week ban if found guilty of infringing laws on sportsmanship over allegedly “twisting or squeezing genitals”.
The clip immediately went viral on social media. Some found it hilarious, including Marler’s former England teammate James Haskell who labelled the prop “a genius” for his hijinks.
Others were shocked by what they considered assault on the field.
Prop Kane Hames came to the conclusion that the vastly-experienced Welsh international should actually stick up for Marler as he was adamant it was a joke gone too far.

“He needs to grab his own balls, pick them up and stick up for his mate here,” Hames said.
“Because it’s his mate that he’s talking about and there’s a special relationship there, I definitely think there is. Alan can stop his mate from getting banned.”

4. Burning twitter critic
In a reply to the appearance of Joe Marler on a BBC 5 Live show, a Tweeter observed that he thought the prop was a “absolute try hard weapon……….him not you obviously”.
Problem was that Marler was tagged in the Tweet and duly decided to reply.
“Very true mate. I try very hard……. to have regular vaginal intercourse with your mum, but she insists on having it in her arsehole every time! Mental.
