All Black star responds to transfer rumours

All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick has responded to reports that he’s set to join Premiership side Sale Sharks on a bumper contract.

The second-row will be out of his contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union after the Rugby World Cup later this year and was believed to be in “advanced talks” with the Sharks – who have been on the hunt for a big-money second row all season.

However, the 27-year-old wrote on Twitter: “No one thought to ask but I’m not going to be playing for Sale…not that I know off anyway.”
