Wallabies star player
Harry Wilson – 8/10
The captain deserved better. Topped the tackle count, grabbed a try and refused to take a backward step. Australia's best player by some distance.
Wallabies biggest disappointment
Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii – 5/10
A frustrating afternoon for the talented youngster. Struggled to get involved on the wing and never really threatened the All Blacks' defence. Australia needed more from one of their biggest attacking weapons.

Wallabies player ratings vs All Blacks
Australia starting XV
15. Tom Wright – 7.5
Australia's brightest spark. Scored a stunning solo try after just seven minutes. Carried for 76 metres and beat five defenders. Never stopped asking questions despite the scoreline.
14. Max Jorgensen – 6
A real threat with ball in hand. Produced a lovely assist for Wright's try, made two clean breaks and added two offloads. One of Australia's better attacking outlets.
13. Isaac Henry – 6.5
A solid outing in midfield. Did his defensive work and came up with an important turnover at the breakdown. Few mistakes.
12. Len Ikitau – 5
A frustrating afternoon. Looked steady early on but was forced off after just 29 minutes. Never had the chance to make a real impact.
11. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii – 5
A quiet afternoon for the centre operating on the wing. Offered little in attack and struggled to get involved. Still finding his feet in the position.
10. Ben Donaldson – 7
One of Australia's best. His quick hands helped create Wright's opener, while a superb pass set up Harry Wilson's try. Made a clean break of his own before departing after 67 minutes.
9. Ryan Lonergan – 5.5
A mixed bag. Landed both conversions but missed a costly penalty that could have cut the deficit to four. Also missed four tackles before making way after 62 minutes.
1. Angus Bell – 6.5
Got through a mountain of defensive work. One of Australia's busiest tacklers, although four missed tackles took some shine off his performance. Never shirked the physical battle.
2. Brandon Paenga-Amosa – 6
A fairly anonymous first half. Worked hard in the tight exchanges without making much of an impression. Replaced after 46 minutes.
3. Allan Alaalatoa – 6
Held his own at scrum time and avoided any major errors. A steady rather than spectacular performance before being replaced early in the second half.
4. Jeremy Williams – 6
A mixed afternoon. Won eight lineouts but conceded three penalties, more than anyone else on the pitch. Those costly mistakes hurt Australia.
5. Lukhan Salakaia-Loto – 6
Put in an honest 80-minute shift. Won three lineouts and did the unseen work, but struggled to make a significant impact against New Zealand's powerful pack.
6. Rob Valetini – 6
Showed glimpses of his destructive best. Made a clean break early in the second half as Australia threatened a comeback. Physical as ever before departing after 71 minutes.
7. Fraser McReight – 7
One of the few Wallabies who could hold his head high. Finished second on the tackle count and worked tirelessly at the breakdown. A proper shift in a losing cause.
8. Harry Wilson – 8
Australia's standout performer. Topped the tackle count, won a turnover and powered over for a deserved try. Led from the front despite the heavy defeat. A captain's performance.

16. Josh Nasser – 7.5
Made an immediate impression after replacing Paenga-Amosa. Rewarded his efforts with a try in the 75th minute. Exactly the impact Australia needed from their bench.
17. Massimo De Lutiis – 6
Introduced after 51 minutes. Helped keep the scrum competitive and avoided any costly mistakes.
18. Aidan Ross – 5
Came on after 57 minutes. Did his job in the scrum but offered little else of note.
19. Lachlan Shaw – 5
Introduced after 58 minutes. Solid enough at the lineout but struggled to influence proceedings.
20. Nick Champion de Crespigny – N/A
Introduced after 71 minutes. Not enough time to make a meaningful impact or earn a fair rating.
21. Tate McDermott – 5
Added some much-needed tempo after replacing Lonergan. Unfortunately, Australia were already chasing the game and opportunities were limited.
What the ratings mean
10 — Untouchable: Put in the sort of shift that deserves its own statue outside the ground.
9 — Different gravy: Had the opposition chasing shadows — and probably checking the scoreboard twice.
8 — Class act: Big carries, big moments, no panic. A proper “get him on the plane” performance.
7 — Did the hard yards: Not quite headline-grabbing, but got through more work than a front row at an all-you-can-eat buffet.
6 — Solid as a scrum: Did their job, made few mistakes and gave the coach little to complain about.
5 — A game of two halves: Some good touches, some moments best left in the changing room.
4 — Knocked on too often: Never quite got over the gainline and had a long afternoon.
3 — Sent backwards: The kind of outing where the final whistle cannot come quickly enough.
2 — In a ruck: Nothing stuck, every bounce went against them and the highlight reel is mercifully short.
1 — Red-carded by the ratings: A performance so rough it may need reviewing by the TMO.
