Wales winger Louis Rees-Zammit caused a social media frenzy when he mimicked Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic celebration after scoring a try in the Rugby World Cup match against Wales.
The lightning-fast winger secured his second try of the World Cup only eight minutes into the Pool C showdown against Os Lobos.
Following the game, Rees-Zammit shared that Portugal’s football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, is his ultimate sporting idol.
One fan wrote: “How dare he use a football celebration. Six week ban with no mitigation.”
A second said: “The Ronaldo celebration against Portugal. A real kick in the nuts for them.”
“None of this football sh** in rugby thanks,” wrote a third.
A fourth commented: “Absolute sh**houser from Rees-Zammit.”
