The All Blacks’ Barrett brothers are mourning the sudden death of their grandfather.
Edward Michael Barrett, known as Ted, died on Sunday, aged 78.
He is the granddad of Beauden, Scott and Jordie, who are all playing at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.

In a death notice published on Monday, the family announced the sudden passing, where Ted was said to have died at Taranaki Base Hospital surrounded by his wife Mary and other family members.
“Dearly loved and cherished husband of Mary for 57 years,” the notice read.
“Loving father…and adored ‘Granddad Ted’ of all his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.”
