Nathan Hughes' loan at Bath Rugby will end following this weekend's match with the England number 8 returning to Bristol Bears.
The 30-year-old, who last played for England in 2019, is currently on loan at The Rec from Bristol Bears.
Bath had been keen to keep Hughes, who has impressed at the Rec this season, but is now set to move to France.
Clermont are close to agreeing a deal for the No8 and he is expected to join them this summer when his current £500,000-a-year deal expires.
The London Irish had also expressed interest in Hughes, notably when he was available on loan earlier this season, but he opted to move to France.
