An interesting thread on Twitter by Brian Moore in regards to the cancelled fixtures has caused a lot of chat between rugby fans.
According to the England legend or what he was told, Italy wanted to play the game, World Rugby would have facilitated it, but New Zealand refused as it would disrupt their quarter0finals preparation with additional travel or a shorter turn around.
Apparently both teams had to agree to postpone/move the game.
Japan is apparently embarrassed by the situation, so are keen to play their final game against Scotland.
