“Brilliant” – Martin ‘Chariots’ Offiah’s son slots penalty like Owen Farrell

Could there be another Offiah playing rugby very soon? Martin ‘Chariots’ Offiah was one of the most exciting English rugby players across both codes.

The 56-year-old played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Offiah was inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2013. He scored over 500 tries during his rugby league career, making him the third-highest try scorer (and top try-scoring English player) of all time, and now features in a statue of great rugby league players outside Wembley Stadium.

His son Phoenix, who is an aspiring footballer, had previously played rugby and showed his skills with an almost perfect impression of Owen Farrell kicking a penalty.

Reacting to the clip, one fan wrote: “Brilliant! Put a smile on my face… the next generation of rugby players looking exceptionally good! “

A second commented: “Following in the families foot steps !!!”
