Carter is considered one of the most complete fly-halves to have ever played the game. Renowned for his incredible skill set, Carter was known for his precise passing, astute game management, and lethal goal-kicking.
He played a key role in the All Blacks’ victories in the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups and was a three-time recipient of the World Rugby Player of the Year award.
Carter also had a successful club career, playing for top clubs in New Zealand, France, and Japan.
