Danny Cipriani reveals when we’ll see him back on a rugby field

Danny Cipriani will now keep potential suitors waiting until the summer as he takes a break after leaving Gloucester by mutual consent.

The Rugby Paper has reported this morning that the 33-year-old, who is currently training one-to-one with Jonny Wilkinson, has revealed he will return next season with a Premiership club favoured over a move abroad.

According to the Sky Sports report, Dean Richards’ Newcastle are interested. The Falcons interest was first reported in an exclusive report from RUCK.

Another source has told RUCK that if Ealing Trailfinders secure promotion to the Premiership next season, they will bid to sign the 16-cap international as a marquee signing.

Premiership rivals Bath were also reportedly in talks, but have pulled out according to Ben Coles’ from The Telegraph. However, they may come back in for CIpriani in the summer.

In France, Top 14 giant Clermont, who have been linked with Cipriani in the past when he left Wasps. are also in the hunt.

Fellow French sides Lyon and Toulon are also thought to be interested, having been in the market for a standoff for some time.

Japanese Top League side Toyota Jido Shokki Shuttles, could look to sign Cipriani as a replacement if Freddie Burns rejoins Leicester Tigers.
